I have a strong background in writing, particularly essays and poetry. I spent some time in my early college years in the field of journalism, as well. I have a BA in English from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). I taught two years of high school English and English Language Development. I have been employed as a writing tutor at Cerritos Community College in Norwalk, California, for the past 16 years.
